Usually I would ignore these slimming packages/trials/promo cos I always think that they are all nothing but an exaggeration.
All the "Fat today, gone tomorrow," never sounded logical to me. But since it was one of those days my feelings were trying too hard to win over my logic, I gave this deal a try.
After all, it's only RM 98.00 for 5 sessions.
Plus, I have heard reviews of how hard these people would try to push you with their products and packages. It's a good challenge for myself to be firm and assertive (ok, now I am trying to make a logic out of it)
Anyway, after my China trip where all suppliers tried feeding me with 10 to 12 course meal, 4 meals a day, I immediately called to make reservation to use this voucher.
I needed them to tell me, "FAT TODAY, GONE TOMORROW," so freaking bad.
I made my booking to Puchong branch since I have my ongoing IPL treatments around that area.
Here's Glow & Glamour Puchong branch located at IOI Boulevard,somewhere near Pappa Rich.
I had some difficulty finding that place since I didn't carry my GPS with me on that day.
It is a small branch, but the interior looks really nice. This is the reception

After registering, a consultant named Cayvea brought me into the consultation room.
She went through with me some usual questions like are you pregnant or what, do you drink coffee, what are my areas of concern this and that, before she assessed my body, which I told her beforehand that I would not weigh myself.
This is to prevent myself from going crazy and she agreed to it that weight isn't the concern. I thought they are quite respectful considering they are slimming specialist.
After that, she went through with me about all treatments for each session, what they will do, which was basically all written in the voucher. My first session consisted of 4 treatments;-
1 Scrubbing
1 Cream application
1 Wrapping
1 Steam bath
Cayvea tried selling me some packages, which I gently said no, and it was not hard at all.
She then took me into the treatment room to get changed.
I managed to find some time to camwhore..
Here's the steam bath room. Apparently, steam bath or sauna will help your body to detoxify and reduce swelling.
During the scrubbing, cream application and wrapping session, Cayvea managed to get me to buy their first trial on cellulite reduction and firming.
Now before you go on and say "She's assertive my ass," let me explain.
Cayvea told me I had saggy skin and cellulite (which I know thank you) and they have a supersonic machine that will do the lifting with visible result at the very first treatment.
Sound illogical right? I asked her, "How to tell, got trial?"
She told me, "Yes, got trial at RM 99 per session. We will let you compare before & after results using one leg for treatment and another leg as control"
What can I say, I love experiment.
The best thing is, the end result was really like what she said. One leg was visibly firmer than the other. Though I don't know yet if the result will last or was it just a temporary thing, but right then and there, it was quite awesome. Sorry folks, no photos for that..=P
Overall, my experience with this deal (for a session) is pretty quick and simple.
I have yet completed all the 5 visits but I can safely conclude that this is worth the money you spent but don't expect long hours of pampering and dramatic results without any add-on.
On the aspect of how hard-sell and product pushing their consultants are...
Well, they definitely try harder than the others (beauty/hair/nail saloon) and this could be uncomfortable to some but in my opinion, they are just doing their job.
It is understandable and they were not irritating and didn't show any disrespect when being declined.
Maybe it's just me but I would say, my experience with Glow & Glamour is quite good, efficient and result-proven.

It is hard to said no, so I did pay for them 38 RM for top up what kind of nice smell. I still angry till now
I bought a 3 mths unlimited treatment and went with an open heart. They were hard core in selling their services and started reminding me of my appointment 5 times prior to my first visit! I was told that if I don't sign their course, I can't see much difference to my fat legs. When I gently turn them down, the consultant got upset, angry and didn't want to talk to me. Well, she even commented why I was late for 15 mins...considering that it is not easy to get a parking in uptown damansara... I will not recommend anyone here because the ambience and services is lousy, for the price you are paying for the course. Btw, I got numerous blue black when the therapist did the G5 treatment which I was forced to top up coz the consultant, Cassy just can't stop selling and pushing the services. Worst still, they claim it is normal to get blue black... my whole thigh was blue black as though I was beaten up. different therapist has different strength and do the treatment differently. Weird but I was observing...
ReplyDeleteDamn! I already paid it. rm488. Cassy, the consultant have told me their treatment very good. But what I get, Steam bath,then hot cream, then steam bath again(No so hot). After Steam bath they scrub me with cold gel then wrapping me and do infrared. that's all.This thing I can manage it with moy own. Just only go to sauna, then back to my home do wrapping ownself. Damn!
DeleteI m doing under this center too.. but is amcorp mall branch.. the people there are friendly and i finish my third session n i lost total 3.6kg. Due to going bck to hometown so i stop my treatment for two weeks.. but in this two weeks i control my diet n i drop another 2kg :)

Bought voucher then went to glow N glamour appointment at Puchong IOI. Introducing packages which i refused and let them just follow the description on voucher.Then that consultant asking do you have maybank card u can pay for the package now...... Sd not enough cash, maybe after this treatment i will try the packages later 1 day. Could hardly see the consultant face turns anger but just walk out. After treatment check on the package from the consultant but she insisted to inform and said next treatment i will explain with unhappy face......If the customer treated this way so how would customer have second opinion to come back to the centre.. Very Poor

Appointment was 10am, but the sales girl kept pushing to sign up packages and even i gently rejected she so persistent and seems like she will not do any treatment until i take some money out from pocket n sign a package.. she went on n on despite me repeating at least 5 times that please start my voucher treatment first, and finally start the facial at 12pm only!! 2 full hour of hard selling....i got much better things to do with my precious 2 hours!

Ive been a glow and glamour client for 7 years but no proven results. I gained 10 kgs. Ive paid a lot for the treatments. The consultants are very persistent and witty to make me sign up for the treatments by using flexi pay which is a burden for me until death, One of them even took out my credit card from my purse. I feel im so foolish to have signed up as im not rich but ive lost my savings. I keep on contra to new treatments. Its very stressful to have done that. They are so nice when im at the salon but when i get home i regret.
ReplyDeleteMy friends work at that company . She told me the company every times want her to force the customers sign package same with the New York Skin Solution . Many customers complains why no result and the in charge person said is your body problem so u need to sign the other package only can see results .She also ask me better don't go there do the treatment .
ReplyDeletei'm a customer at G&G uptown branch! very terrible service and very hard-sale. always push me top-up. i signed package for facial which cost me few k! after i reach home i very regret. when i went for my 2nd treatment, the facial which last 1.5 hours only! not even worth the RM2xx i paid! i wanna complain them!
ReplyDeleteI am glad that this receive updated comments till now. I went for a trial free for Bust Enhancement. I was interested to sign but only after I return from my 2 weeks holiday. The consultant, Coco persuaded and promised additional freebies like one additional treatment, one bust cream, a membership card which supposedly one can only get after 3 years of their customer. I finally signed a Bust Enhancement Package at RM3,988 for 10 treatments but noticed there were no record of additional treatment and bust cream but she said it will be recorded in the appointment card. True enough, when I went for my first treatment, the consultant on duty said there's no such record. Coco, was relieving a staff who was on leave. I complained to the Manager, after she checked with Coco, she came back and wrote on the appointment card that I will get one treatment equivalent to the free trial and the bust cream will be applied after treatment. I told her straight that she was trying to cover up for Coco. On my next treatment, the consultant on duty tried to sell me additional stuff which I gently told her that I had very bad experience with Coco and Manager and that she should write this down somewhere that nobody is to sell me anything until I completed my package and until I forget about the bad experience. Since then, they have left me alone. I am still being greeted by smiling face but I haven't forget.

ReplyDeleteI m customer at Glow glamour amcorp mall branch,went there wt groupon 5visit ginger treatment,coz I hv a really crazy bloated tummy after delivered my lovely baby…Honest to say…i really like that consultant was attend to me:'Casey',the way she explained to me was comfortable n she can tell me exactly what I want!Although the package she sell me is quite expensive is about 4k,but I still signing up that package in the end.I hv now started wt the treatment n the progress was not bad,feel excited n looking forward for better result…hahaha

ReplyDeleteI bought a package about 2 years ago but have yet to go for any treatment till now. I'm glad that the company still survives up to now but to be honest, I regretted signing up hence I didn't go for the treatments. Is there any way for me minimise my loss?

ReplyDeleteI am having my facial at G&G Taipan as I'm typing this. Service is shit, I can promise you that. I got here 30 min late but should've come another hour late; upon arriving I had to wait 15 minutes to fill in the customer form. Then spent 45 minutes listening to them hard sell. Lucky for me I came well prepared. Or should I say zero prepared haha cos I only had rm27 with me (rm20 debit and 7 in hand). I never bring a lot of cash to beauty salons and make sure to carry my poorest debit card to avoid spending. Other times I show up empty handed.
ReplyDeleteAnyway. They waste a lot of time leaving me alone in the room. After steamer I had to wait again until my face dried up.. So duh extraction hurt like a bxxxh. They used some sort of gadget on my face and later handed me a mirror to look at how 'brightened and lifted' my face has got. I was like, girl, of course it's bright. The light is directly in my face!
On average they spent 20 minutes on my face. The rest of the hour was spent outside. The reason why I use 'they' and not 'she' is there were about 3 people who attended to me.
The first girl who cleansed and scrubbed my face did her job very poorly.
At the end of it the last therapist, Kamy, ushered me to a small room.. You know, the post-facial shit they always give you. But I told her upfront I wasn't coming back and she should just burn away my customer card.
I've been to high and low ends and this place is nothing but poopy.
And oh. The facial took only an hour. Probably cos I wasn't spending a single penny and insisted on using my Groupon voucher. I don't bother coming back. Even if they spat or threw up in the mask they applied on my face, I don't even care. I'm done.

When I asked them to get the price list, she (one of sales) told me that they dont have any price list. How could this be? LOL. Am I like a fool? Want to sign suddenly for that packages ahahahah. And they ask how old I am, after they got my answer they reduce the price tobe 3988 (they told me that price is for student) - even i am not a student anymore ahhhahah they want to give me that price - how lucky i am found this article, so I can know in the ealry before make a decisions �� Thanks all keep writing
